I animated three sections of The Banff Centre Midsummer Ball 2018 Sizzle.

 

This year's aesthetic for Banff Centre's MidSummer Ball was a watercolour paint style. We recorded 4k ink bleeds on my camera and used them as luma mats for various reveals. The first section shows various projects worked on by artists in residence and practicum participants using the ink luma mats to transition between them. The second and third sections are using photos I took from around Banff and again using the ink luma mats and custom watercolour mountain textures made by our graphics design department.

 

The Midsummer Ball is a yearly event put on by the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity to display what projects Artists in residence and Practicum participants work on throughout the year and to gather donations to keep these programs going.
